Hepatitis C:

The Public Health Division was recently awarded a County Medical Services Program (CMSP) grant.  In collaboration with CMSP providers, the Tehama County Health Agency, Public Health Division, will plan and implement a public health nursing case management project for chronically ill indigent clients.  To respond to locally identified community needs, special attention will be given to preventive services in the areas of substance abuse, tobacco use, Hepatitis C infection, and diabetes.  Culturally and linguistically sensitive outreach and education to Tehama County’s indigent population will be an integral part of the project.

Also, the Tehama County Health Agency, Public Health Division received an HIV Case Management Grant.  This funding provides people living with HIV and their families in Tehama County with case management services.  Clients receive services, education and referrals to ensure that their basic human needs are met.

Health Partnership:

The Tehama County Health Partnership (TCHP) is a collaborative effort among various agencies, organizations, and concerned citizens. The main focus of the partnership is to facilitate efficient delivery of preventive and support services to the community.
